Two dimensional stair-shaped coordination

Abstract

The crystal structure of {[NaCr(2,2’-bipy)(ox)2]2[bis(1-pyrazolyl) methane]•2H2O}n reveals the first 2-D stair-shaped architecture which constructs a 3-D network via interlayer π–π interactions with guest water molecules present in the cavities.
