Synthesis and Characterization of Novel Acyclic Polyethers Containing Two Tetrahedral Cluster Moieties as Terminal Groups
Abstract
Five novel acyclic cluster polyethers [η5-C5H4CH2(CH2OCH2)nCH2C5H4-η5][MFeCoS(CO)8]2 (M=Mo, W; n=2,3; M=Mo, n=4) are synthesized through double isolobal displacement reaction of (µ3-S)FeCo2(CO)9 with [η5-C5H4CH2(CH2OCH2)nCH2C5H4-η5][(CO)3MNa]2 and characterized by elemental analysis and spectroscopic techniques.
