Utilization of an industrial feedstock without separation . Ruthenium-catalysed hydrocarboxylation of propadiene and propyne

Abstract

The reaction of carboxylic acids with propadiene or propyne catalysed by [Ru(µ-O2CH)(CO)2(PPh3)]2 affords isopropenyl esters via regioselective addition of the carboxylate to the central carbon atom of the allene.
