A model for pathways of radical addition to fullerenes

Abstract

A sequential π-electronic model that simulates addition of large radicals to fullerenes yields pathways to the experimental structures of C60X6 (X = Cl, Br) and C70Cl10 and predicts structures for C60X12 and C60X18.
