Relationship between sample mass and number of particles for two-component particulate mixtures

Abstract

The relationship between sample mass and number of particles for two-component particulate mixtures was studied. Equations for evaluating the deviation of mass for sampling by number of particles and the deviation in the number of particles for sampling by mass were derived. Two-component tablet mixtures were used to verify the above theories with satisfactory results. This study is significant for both the theory and practice of sampling in analytical chemistry.
