Electrospray mass spectrometry evidence for an oxo-manganese(V) species generated during the reaction of manganese triazacyclononane complexes with H2O2 and 4-methoxyphenol in aqueous solution

Abstract

Electrospray mass spectrometry has been used to identify the formation of oxo-manganese(V) species in the oxidation of 4-methoxyphenol by H2O2 catalysed by manganese 1,4,7-triazacyclononane complexes in aqueous solution.
