Low-valent Titanium-induced Reactions of Substituted Nitrobenzenes

Abstract

Aluminium powder has been used to reduce titanium tetrachloride to generate the Low-valent Titanium reagent (LVT); the reactions of substituted nitrobenzenes induced by LVT are described and the reaction mechanism is briefly discussed.
