Monomeric Nickel(II) Complexes with Tetradentate Bis(benzimidazole) Ligands; Synthesis, Spectral and 1H and 13C NMR Studies

Abstract

The tetradentate ligand 1,2-bis(2-benzimidazolyloxamethyl)benzene (BBB) is used to synthesize complexes of stoichiometry [Ni(BBB)X2] where X=Cl, NCS, NO3 or OAc; 1H and 13C NMR has been used to assign the aliphatic and ring protons/carbons.
