Correlation analysis of fluctuations and continuous observation of electrophoresis

Abstract

A possibility is theoretically considered to observe continuously the process of electrophoresis by computation of the time cross-correlation function (TCCF) of the noise due to the particle passages through two detectors located along the electrical field direction. As shown the TCCF structure is similar to the conventional phoretogram for a system containing the same analyzed particles. The required characteristics of a separation system and detectors are discussed.
