The first example of synthesis of alumininacyclopropanes catalysed by(ν5-C5H5)2TiCl2

Abstract

The synthesis of a series of cyclic organoaluminium compounds, aluminacyclopropanes, which have never previously been described, has been carried out by α>-olefin cyclometallation with EtAlCl2 in the presence of a chlorine ion acceptor, metallic magnesium and Cp2TiCl2 (Cp = ν>5-C5H5) catalyst.
