New equation of state for Stockmayer gases

Abstract

On the basis of our previous results (G. Kronome, J. Liszi and I. Szalai, J. Chem. Soc., FaradayTrans., 1997, 93, 3053) a new analytical equation of state is predicted for Stockmayer gases. It is shown that, at different dipole moments, the isotherms of our new equation of state are in better agreement with the Monte Carlo simulation results than the appropriate perturbation theoretical and virial equation of state based data.
