Novel syntheses of linked cyclopentadienyl–amide complexes
Abstract
The reaction of C5H5CH2CH2CH2NHMe with [W(NBut)2(NHBut)2] proceeded in a two-step fashion to give the formally 22-electron complex [W(NBut)2(η5,σ-C5H4CH2CH2CH2NMe)]; the reaction of Li2[C5H4CH2CH2CH2NMe] with [Mo(NBut)2Cl2(dme)] (dme = 1,2-dimethoxyethane) or [Zr(η-C5H5)2Cl2] gave [Mo(NBut)2(η5,σ-C5H4CH2CH2CH2NMe)] or [Zr(η-C5H5)Cl(η5∶σ-C5H4CH2CH2CH2NMe)] respectively.
