Excellent effect of lithium-doped sulfated zirconia catalysts for oxidative coupling of methane to give ethene and ethane

Abstract

Li-doped sulfated zirconia catalysts are found to be effective for oxidative coupling of methane; ca. 80% C 2 selectivity is attained at 1073 K with 43% CH 4 conversion.
