Palladium-induced rearrangement of a Fe2Sn2 metal core leading to the first Fe–Pd–Sn cluster [(OC)3Fe(µ-SnBun2)(µ-dppm)Pd(µ-dppm)Fe(CO)3]†
Abstract
A new tetranuclear FePdFeSn four-membered ring cluster, which could be viewed as a bent chain complex FePdFe bridged by a stannylene ligand, is obtained from a Fe2Sn2 precursor by Ph2PCH2PPh2 (dppm)-assisted palladium incorporation; it provides the first example of a Sn–Fe–Pd linkage.
