Rhodium-catalysed arylation of aldehydes with arylstannanes

Abstract

Aryltrimethylstannanes react with aldehydes in the presence of a catalytic amount of a cationic rhodium complex, [Rh(cod)(MeCN) 2 ]BF 4 , affording the corresponding arylated secondary alcohols in good yields.
