Abstract

The interaction of C 70 and [Ru 3 (CO) 12 ] provides [Ru 3 (CO) 9 (µ 3 -η 2 ,η 2 ,η 2 -C 70 )], in which the Ru 3 triangle is coordinated to only one of the three possible six-membered ring types; analogous double-addition products are isolated and one structurally characterized.
