One-dimensional alignment of organometallic donor–acceptor compounds via coordination polymerization. Synthesis and structures of [W([triple bond, length as m-dash]CC6H4X-4)(OBut)3] (X = NMe2, SMe)

Abstract

Metal–alkylidyne complexes of the type W([triple bond, length as m-dash]CC 6 H 4 X-4)(OBu t ) 3 (X = NMe 2 , SMe), which are analogues of classic organic donor–acceptor compounds, form infinite-chain structures in the solid state through weak intermolecular dative bonds between the tungsten and donor atoms.
