BiBr3-catalysed formation of cyclic carbonates from epoxides and DMF: a new oxidation reaction with molecular oxygen

Abstract

Cyclic carbonates are obtained in good yields from terminal epoxides and DMF in a BiBr 3 -catalysed reaction with molecular oxygen as the oxidant.
