Fingerprinting of plant extracts using NMR spectroscopy: application to small samples of liverworts

Abstract

1 H and 13C NMR spectra of CDCl3 extracts of quarter-gram samples of liverworts show that Adelanthus decipiens contains 1,2-dimethoxy-3,4-methylene dioxynaphthalene, and that Plagiochila atlantica contains the 2,3-secoaromadendrane plagiochiline C.
