Conjugate addition of 2-trifluoromethyl-1,3-dioxin-4-ones–π-facial selectivity

Abstract

The π-facial selectivity of 2-trifluoromethyl-1,3-dioxin-4-ones in conjugate addition and catalytic hydrogenation is described and an explanation of the selectivity by the Cieplak effect and anmeric effect is given.
