Syntheses and properties of novel conducting dithiolato–metal complexes having peripheral heteroatoms and extended π-conjugated systems

Abstract

Novel dithiolato–nickel complexes containing dicyanomethylene, [1,2,5]thiadiazolo[3,4-b]pyrazine, and 2-(2-propylidene) moieties have been synthesized. The room temperature electrical conductivities of the salts having a dicyanomethylene moiety, which was prepared by electrochemical oxidation, were found to lie between 10–5 and 10–2 S cm–1.
