Metal–ammonium cooperativity in phosphodiester hydrolysis

Abstract

The copper(II) complex of the ammonium-functionalized ligand [6,6′-(Me2HNCH2C[triple bond, length half m-dash]C)2bpy]2+L1 accelerates phosphodiester hydrolysis with greater efficiency compared with related complexes which do not contain such functional groups.
