[Ru6(CO)18]2– in NaX zeolite cages: characterization by EXAFS and FTIR spectroscopy

Abstract

RuIII(NH3)6 in the cages of NaX zeolite is converted in the presence of CO + H2 into [Ru6(CO)18]2–, which is reversibly fragmented and reconstructed under oxidative and reductive conditions, respectively.
