Simultaneous determination of organic acids, inorganic anions and cations in beverages by ion chromatography with a mixed-bed stationary phase of anion and cation exchangers

Abstract

A mixed-bed column was packed with anion-exchange resin ICS-A23 and cation-exchange resin CH1. The chromatographic behaviour of organic acids, inorganic anions and cations on the mixed-bed column have been investigated. The method developed in this study was used for the simultaneous determination of organic acids, inorganic anions and cations in wine, Japanese sake and instant coffee powder without any special pre-treatment procedure.
