An all solid-state reference electrode based on a potassium chloride doped vinyl ester resin

Abstract

The performance of an all solid-state Refex electrode has been evaluated as a reference electrode for pH measurement for use with a glass pH electrode, an ISFET pH probe and six encapsulated ISFET chips. It was found that the solid-state Refex electrode functioned as well, if not better, than the built-in Ag/AgCl reference electrodes of the glass electrode and the ISFET probe. Excellent results were also obtained with the ISFET chips.
