High-performance liquid chromatographic method for the determination of bromochlorophene in toothpaste

Abstract

Bromochlorophene is an anti-plaque agent that is being added to an increasing number of commercial toothpastes. However, there is no validated method for its determination to be found in the chemical literature. This paper describes a method for the extraction and subsequent determination of bromochlorophene, which is suitable for quality control purposes and includes evidence of its validity.
