Convenience of using polystyrene cells in voltammetric analysis of metal ions

Abstract

The convenience of using commercial vessels of polystyrene as voltammetric cells in the study of ZnII, CdII, PbII, CuII and CoII has been confirmed by means of differential-pulse anodic stripping voltammetry. Polystyrene cells were used in the study of the system Zn–PMA (polymethacrylic acid) in order to minimize the effect of adsorption onto the cell material.
