Abstract

N,N-Dibutyl-N′-naphthoylthiourea (HL¹) reacted with [PtCl₄]^2– to yield a mixture of cis-(85%) and trans-[PtL¹₂](15%); the crystal structure of the latter has been determined and represents the first example of trans chelation of N,N-dialkyl-N′-acylthiourea ligands.
