Novel coordination mode of boron tetrafluoride anion: structure of a BF4-capped trirhenium cluster: [NEt4]+2[Re3H2(CO)9BF4]2–

Abstract

In dichloromethane solution at room temperature, the reaction between [Re4H4(CO)12] and acetone followed by addition of NEt4BF4 Yielded [NEt4]+2[Re3H2(CO)9BF4]2–(30% yield), in which the triangular trirhenium cluster is capped by a µ-FBF3.
