Novel phosphonium-betaine ligands [SC(H)PPh3-C,S] and [S(H)C[double bond, length half m-dash]C(PPh3)S-S,S′] stabilised in rhodacarborane complexes

Abstract

Two novel phosphonium-betaine ligands [SC(H)PPh3] and [S(H)C[double bond, length half m-dash]C(PPh3)S] are stabilised in the twelve-vertex closo-type rhodacarborane complexes [3-{η2-SC(H)PPh3}-3-(PPh3)-3,1,2-RhC2B9H11] and [2-{η2-S(H)C[double bond, length half m-dash]C(PPh3)S}-2,1,7-RhC2B9H11] which are characterised spectroscopically and by X-ray diffraction methods.
