Preparation of silica-pillared layered tetratitanate with a high surface area

Abstract

A novel pillaring procedure was developed to prepare the first example of silica-pillared layered tetratitanate; the resultant pillared material is porous, with a high surface area of 184.5 m2 g–1 and retaining thermal stability to above 550 °C.
