Synthesis of substituted dioxabicyclo[n.2.1]alkanes through palladium catalysed oxidative cyclisation

Abstract

Epoxy α,β-unsaturated esters derived from diene-ester 1 underwent one-pot regioselective oxidative cyclisation to form substituted dioxabicyclo[n.2.1]alkanes in the presence of Na2PdCl4, ButO2H–aq. acetic acid in good yield.
