Accuracy of the measurement of purity of sulfamic acid by coulometric titration

Abstract

The acidimetric titration of sulfamic acid with electrogenerated hydroxide ions was studied. The accuracy of the method was determined by examining the dependencies on the storage time of sulfamic acid solution, amount of sulfamic acid, etc.; the precision and accuracy obtained were 0.01%. The coulometric titration of sulfamic acid was compared with that of potassium hydrogenphthalate. To determine the effect of carbon dioxide, examining the dependence on sample amount is recommended.
