Comparison of detector tube method with European Standards

Abstract

European Directives require the measurement of hazardous substances in air at workplaces. Details of performance requirements for measuring methods are given in international standards. Amongst other methods, direct reading detector tubes also comply with these standards. As detector tubes are manufactured within the framework of a certified quality assurance system, it is possible to stipulate the range of application for each type of type of tube prior to use.
