Determination of arsenic, antimony and selenium in cobalt by on-line injection, cation exchange, hydride-generation, inductively coupled plasma atomic emission spectrometry
Abstract
A new high performance system is described for the determination of arsenic, antimony and selenium in cobalt by an on-line, flow injection, cation exchange method, followed by hydride-generation inductively coupled plasma atomic emission spectrometry. The operating parameters have been optimized; 10 mg ml–1 of cobalt matrix can be eliminated by the cation exchange column. A determination has been carried out against synthetic standards and reference samples. The sensitivity and rate of analysis were improved compared with conventional separation methods.
