Poly(vinyl chloride) type ammonium ion-selective electrodes based on nonactin: solvent mediator effects

Abstract

This communication describes poly(vinyl chloride) ammonium ion-selective electrodes based on nonactin and focuses on 2-nitrophenyl octyl ether and trioctyl phosphate as solvent mediators; such ion selective electrodes do not require the use of a buffer trap as in the DOA plasticized system.
