Studies on the origin of sonically induced narrowing of solid-state nuclear magnetic resonance spectra
Abstract
Experiments are reported on the elucidation of the origin of the narrowing of NMR absorptions from solid particles when they are suspended in a support liquid and irradiated with ultrasound. Evidence is provided for contributions to line narrowing from induced incoherent particle motion and in some cases from induced lattice motions.
