Hydrogen peroxide oxidations catalysed by metallosilicalite xerogels

Abstract

Metallosilicalite xerogels of the type MOx–SiO2 where M isTiIV, VV, MoVI, WVI and SeIV have been prepared by the sol–gel method and used as heterogeneous catalysts for the epoxidation, allylic oxidation and carbon–carbon bond cleavage of alkenes, the hydroxylation of phenols, and the oxidation of alcohols to ketones by hydrogen peroxide.
