Highly selective V-P-O/γ-Al2O3 catalysts in the ammoxidation of toluene to benzonitrile

Abstract

γ-Al2O3-supported vanadium phosphorus oxide catalysts prepared by solid-solid wetting for the first time are highly active and selective for the ammoxidation of toluene to benzonitrile at 400 °C and the ammonia uptake of the catalysts correlates directly with their ammoxidation activity.
