Oxidation of olefins to aldehydes using a palladium–copper catalyst
Abstract
Wacker-like catalysts using tert-butyl alcohol as the solvent oxidize terminal olefihs to give unusually high selectivities for aldehydes and also provide some insight into the role of copper and oxygen in Wacker-like reactions.
