[SeIVS3VIMo6O33]8––a novel cyclic polar heteropolyanion

Abstract

The novel cyclic polar heteropolyanion [SeIVS3VIMo6O33]8– bearing a pyramidal SeO3 group in its centre and featuring a ring of six MoO6 coordination octahedra linked by common corners and edges, respectively, to which three SO4 tetrahedra are attached has been prepared in aqueous solution and characterized by single crystal X-ray structure analysis.
