Direct alkylacylation of arenes by alkanes and cycloalkanes in the presence of aprotic superacids

Abstract

Alkanes and cycloalkanes react with benzene and bromobenzene in the presence of the RCO+Al2X7- complexes at 0–20 °C to give the products of arene alkylacylation in 60–87% yields after 5–30 min.
