Materials chemistry communications. Low-temperature synthesis of Ba(Mg1/3Ta2/3)O3 perovskite by the metal alkoxide method

Abstract

Crystalline Ba(Mg1/3Ta2/3)O3 powders have been synthesized at low temperatures (around 100°C) by hydrolysis of metal alkoxides. The calcined Ba(Mg1/3Ta2/3)O3 powders yielded a sintered body with a high density of 98.0% at a low firing temperature of 1400°C.
