Fracture behaviour of chemically modified poly(ether ether sulfone)/poly(ether sulfone) copolymers

Abstract

The fracture properties of nitrated and aminated poly(ether ether sulfone)/poly(ether sulfone) copolymers, and of some crosslinked derivatives of the aminated materials are reported. The expected increase in brittleness due to crosslinking is observed, but is less severe with an epoxy crosslinker than with bis(4-isocyanatophenyl)-methane.
