The new series of pentanuclear sulfido clusters [Ru5(CO)14S]2–1, [Ru5H(CO)14S]–2 and [Ru5H2(CO)14S]3 have been prepared; the monoanion 2, accessible from [Ru3(CO)12] and SC(NMe2)2, gives 1 upon deprotonation and 3 upon protonation.
