Synthesis and structure of the planar metal carbonyl Os5(CO)18

Abstract

The new binary metal carbonyl Os5(CO)18 has been prepared by pyrolysis of Os5(CO)19 and shown by X-ray crystallography to have a planar metal skeleton.
