Steric and electronic tuning of the lability of square planar d8 metal complexes: platinum(II)[triple bond, length as m-dash] palladium(II)

Abstract

Electronic tuning of PtII complexes via cyclometallation, i.e. the introduction of a Pt–C bond trans to the leaving ligand, can increase their lability to that of related PdII complexes.
