Planar complexes [M(mnt)(CNMe)2] of the nickel triad metals show two different stacking motifs in the solid state, characterised by X-ray crystal structure analysis and EXAFS spectroscopy, in which inter-complex interactions lead to pseudo-one-dimensional molecular aggregates.
