The first 3-methanediyl-1,3,5,6-tetraphosphabicyclo[3.1.0]hex-2-ene. Evidence for a [3 + 2] cycloaddition of a 2,4,5,6-tetraphosphahepta-1,3,6-triene

Abstract

Reaction of (η5C5Me5)(CO)2FeP(SiMe3)2 with three equivalents of Cl–P[double bond, length half m-dash]C(SiMe3)2 affords the first 3-methanediyl-1,3,5,6-tetraphosphabicyclo[3.1.0.]hex-2-ene 7, the molecular structure of which has been determined by X-ray analysis.
