The demonstration of the trigonal twist mechanism in [RuH2(CO)(PPh3)3]

Abstract

NOESY has been used to demonstrate that, unexpectedly, [RuH2(CO)(PPh3)3] undergoes intramolecular ligand exchange, probably via the trigonal twist mechanism; it is shown how heteronuclear coupling in the NOESY experiment can yield valuable mechanistic information.
